I Drink TOO Much!

http://cdn.mos.totalfilm.com/
I guess Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) must have a drinking problem too. I just google searched "drinking problem" then clicked "images" and he shows up a lot. And I am probably the last to know this... And I call myself a Harry Potter fan! How dare I?

It's only normal that when you're on a vacation you have a few cocktails every night. Right? And this trip, really gives us a deep sensation of being on a vacation. Problem is we've been gone since Nov. 10. Today is my 3-month anniversary of cruising the Sea of Cortez, Mexico and daily toddies. It's hurting.

Just as last week I decided to stop and take a break - this week I've done the extreme opposite. I went 7 or 10 days and was doing great. Then a gang of old friends booked a condo in Cabo San Lucas for their annual binge drinking holiday and well... being but 2 days of sailing away we cruised our way to play with them. My liver is my hostage on this crazy amusement park ride of bar hopping and booze-croozing.

I can't wait for their vacation to end tomorrow so I can slap a band-aid on my liver and sign-up for Advil Detox.

You know, we all need a break. When you come back, you detox and thankfully forget so you can do it again next year! Be glad you're cooler than me and my friends. We went to Galveston for a weekend and were all like, "whoa, yeah...we're gonna get SO wasted!"

We totally didn't. In fact, the amount of booze we brought was so ridiculous and we didn't even touch a third of it. Obviously we're gonna have to try again.

    1. Oh Galveston! I partied there TOO! Hahaha! When you plan for it to happen, it doesn't happen. But when you go out promising yourself to stick to water and be in bed by 10 pm then you'll end up dancing on tables. Happens to me all the time!

  2. Wasn't sure if you literally thought the Ryan Gossling thing was about you or if you were joking...

Just in case, HEAVENS NO! It's a Pinterest thing. These people keep pinning photos of him with things like, "Hey Girl. Of course leg warmers are totally fine with that outfit." They were funny for about five whole minutes and then they got dumb. Just like everything else on the internet.

  5. You could always try drinking so much that you can't even stand the sight of alcohol anymore.

    I give crappy advice...

  7. Seems only fair that happy hour should happen whilst cruising.
But I do understand that after 3 months you should take a bit of a break for a bit.
    Maybe you could google "Mocktails"

    1. Yes. Inspiring as usual. I am taking a break. 3 days now. Consecutively. Today was a rough day. You know when nothing goes like it should? I so wanted to dip my hand in the fridge for something other than icy water... I'm not talking about quitting but not every day!

  8. Hey there! I know exactly what you mean. I'm retired, so EVERY day is a vacation day... So, I really have to concentrate on not getting carried away... Three months ! Wow! What a great adventure you are on!

    1. Yes. A great adventure indeed and no end in sight! I'm truly falling in love with Mexico! Such great people, and being here makes me discover sides to these people we do not see in the States.
